On July 19, 2016, the Foreign Trade Development Bureau of Chinese Ministry of Commerce and Chongqing Foreign Trade and Economic Commission held the promotion conference for “2016 China Commodities and Equipment Manufacturing Expo”. CGCOC and Hansom Group participated in the activity as the co-organizer. The conference aims to guide Chinese enterprises to “step outside” through exhibition, and promote the cooperation of “Made in Chongqing” with Western African countries in a wider range, fully utilizing the “two resources and two markets” both at home and abroad, and achieve effective transfer of excess capacity and a diversified market. About 140 people attended the conference, including leaders from related organizations affiliated to Ministry of Commerce, Amadou fall, Counselor of Senegal Embassy to China, and related leaders and representatives, as well as more than 70 enterprises in Chongqing.

Senegal is located at the westernmost of Africa and is the important member of West African Economic Community. In recent years, the bilateral economic and trade cooperation is growing rapidly between China and Senegal. FIDAK is the largest and the most influential exhibitions in western Africa. China will debut on the exhibition for the first time with a “Chinese Pavilion”to fully display the economic development in Chongqing and in China, which is expected to promote Chinese enterprises to explore wider market in the vast western Africa.

Xu Chun, Director of Western Asia and Africa Department of the Ministry of Commerce, and Miao Huawei, Deputy Director of Foreign Trade Development Bureau respectively introduced about the political and economic conditions and the exhibition at the conference.  Amadou Fall, Counselor of Embassy of Senegal to China introduced about the national conditions of Senegal, investment environment and market opportunities.CGCOC, which has explored overseas markets for about 20 years shared its success experience in exploring African markets and Sino-African cooperation, and the company also introduced about the Senegal Industrial Park which is under construction.

Amadou Fall also introduced about the investment policies in Senegal. He expects more Chinese enterprises to invest in Senegal and encourages them to set up branches in CGCOC’s Industrial Park in Senegal. He also hopes that Chinese enterprises and entrepreneurs in Chongqing will gain more business opportunities through this exhibition.
